Table for Ten
Intriguing dining table by artist & designer Albert Palsy, dated 1981. Paley’s sculptural practice developed out of his jewellery-making and goldsmithing, and a similar sensibility and intricacy is easily salvageable even in larger scale works such as this; where forged steel coils are pressed together in a surprising new and agile language as loops — reflective of loops of rope or cable — subtly support the clear glass tabletop surface.
