Pitcher Plant Lamp

From the first edition of fifteen pieces designed for Américas River-Oaks restaurant in Houston, Texas, this lamps’ abstract, winged form is a reflected constant in the restaurant’s decor and Mozer’s practice in general — the architectural firm utilising a process in which every object and artwork in an environment is given equal consideration and allocated artistry. The light-source of the lamp has been embedded within the interior cavity of the cast bronze form, an emittance pronounced by the reflection caught in the rising wing or fin — a design intent on diffusing harsh or fixed illumination for a softer, balmier aura of light perfect for evening dining.
